As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author(s) must register LAJ ThaiJO website https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/LAJ.  All manuscripts and all materials must be submitted online ONLY via the LAJ ThaiJO website. Please be noted that in order to publish manuscripts in LAJ, there is NO FEE OR CHARGE in any stage of publication process.

Submissions

Landscape Architecture Journal (LAJ) accepts research article, academic article, article review, and book review. The manuscript must be original and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All the manuscript materials include written articles and figuresmust be submitted through the LAJ ThaiJO website. Authors can check the sign in method, Registration form, and Manuscript template via LAJ ThaiJO Link.

Review Process:

  • Peer reviews: All manuscripts will be evaluated with double-blind review by 2 peer-reviewers from two different institutions and also the editorial board. The accepted manuscripts must pass evaluations from all parties.
  • Notification: The editorial board will notify the authors with the notification results through the LAJ ThaiJO website within 14 working days or after we received all of the evaluation from the peers.
  • Final touch: The authors must edit their manuscript accordingly to the comments from the evaluation and submit to the editorial board within 5 working days.

Contents of Articles 

  • Title of the article (Thai and English).
  • The first name and surname of the author. Specify titles including academic position, and academic rank should not be included. 
  • Use superscript Arabic numerals at the end of the last name to specify the academic position, faculty, and agency in the next line below the author’s name. 
  • Abstract (Thai and English). Should be concisely straight to the point. 
  • Introduction (Background and Significance of the Research). 
  • Research Objective. 
  • Research Methodology should be described along with research tools, sample selection, data collection, and data analysis. The process should be concise and clearly presented.
  • Research result should be clear, interesting, and straight to the point.
  • Research Suggestion. Discuss recommendations and benefits.
  • References. Define significant reference sources (Reference within the content, using Author-Date and APA style).
  • In the case of non – research article, the author can modify as appropriate to perform the profoundness of writing.

Submission Guidelines

  • Title should be concise and informative. Abbreviations and formulae should be avoided where possible. The title needs in English Only.
  • Please clearly indicate the given name(s), family name(s) of each author, authors' affiliation and email address. The correspondent author needs to be identified. 
  • Provide a one-paragraph abstract of 300 - 500 words. Authors should also include up to six keywords from the article. English version of abstract and keywords are required. 
  • Excluding the abstract, the manuscripts should be prepared by using MS-Word with the length of 12 to 25 page of A-4 size standard. The abstract in both Thai and English must be included with the length of 1 standard A-4 size. The TH Saraban New font type at the size of 14 pt. is to be used throughout the submission, except the title which must be 18 pt. Single line spacing is required as well as 3-5 keywords in both Thai and English.
  • Please leave 254-mm. space for top-bottom-left-right margins and use single column for the page layout.
  • Figures are to be inserted in the writing where they should describe or visualize the text with the caption including Figure (bold typeface), number of figures, description of the figure, and source of the figure in the Author-Date If the source is in Thai, please reference with the name-family name of the author of the source.

  • The authors must combine all figures in a folder and name the figures with the same figure numberas present in the manuscripts. The figures minimum quality is 300 dpi and must be in the form of .JPG, .PSD, .PNG, .TIF, or .BMP. For example, Figure_1.jpg)
  • Figures such as chart, architectural drawing, map, and diagram must be submitted in form of .JPG, .PSD, .PNG, .TIF, .BMP, and/or .AI formats. We do not accept figures or diagram created by using MS-word, including text box.
  • Photograph, chart, architectural drawings, maps, diagrams included in the manuscript must not violate and copyrights.
  • The manuscript that has been translated or edited from others must include accurate reference and must gain consent from the originals.
  • The editorial board reserves all rights to decline any submission that has been previously published or in the peer-review process of the other journals or platforms.

Reference

  • The citation must be in two corresponding places: the first must be in the body of the text. The second must appear in the references at the end of the article. In the body of the text, use the author’s last name and the year of publication in parentheses for the foreign language documents (Oka, 1982). For Thai documents, use the name and surname of the author and the year of publication in parentheses (จิราภรณ์ คชเสน, 2555). The examples of reference are in the following paragraph. 
  • Use the American Psychological Association (APA) format for references.
