The study employs a qualitative approach, literature review, theoretical frameworks, and investigating the field studies of case examples in South Korea. These findings are analyzed and compared, leading to the formulation of a concept for developing soft power suitable to Thailand's unique identity. By studying the leading nations often have a rigid cultural identity, which is a key factor in their development. In contrast, Thai society is characterized by a more relaxed and easygoing culture. Therefore, Thailand should not simply emulate the development paths of leading nations. Instead, Thai society should adopt new ideas that align with its unique social personality, such as work-life balance, Work 3.0, happiness as a KPI, and an adaptive culture. This article proposes 'The Customization' concept as a main strategy for fostering new social soft powers. This strategy includes four crucial ideas: empowering individual choices and freedom, embracing multiculturalism and diverse beliefs, integrating multiple cultures to generate new concepts, and emphasizing the positive values and humor inherent in Thai culture. By following these guidelines, Thailand can create innovative designs, services, and industries.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Art Pritas Journal https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/APJ/article/view/275406 The Development of Embroidered fabric products with Participatory Design Process in Ban San kong Community Chiang Rai Province 2025-05-02T07:42:27+07:00 Wattanapon Eusawat wattanapon.eus@crru.ac.th Ratchanikorn Kussalanon ratchanikorn.kus@crru.ac.th Ratchanee Luedara ratchanee.lue@crru.ac.th
This research aims to develop a community product model through participatory design processes in order to enhancing the potential and to further the community products derived from local craftsmanship and indigenous knowledge. The exhibition is centered around the theme of "Darkness", a concept developed through a collaborative brainstorming process involving faculty members and artists to establish a foundational idea and sources of inspiration for the design works. Students are encouraged to research and interpret the notion of darkness as a conceptual framework, which they may refine into sub-themes either collectively or individually. The research methodology employed in this study is qualitative, incorporating document analysis, an examination of the students’ design processes, direct observation, interviews, and the collection of photographic and video documentation of both the design works and the exhibition’s presentation.

From the analysis of the body painting works created by first-year students, a total of 30 artworks were identified and categorized into three sub-themes: (1) Darkness in Film, (2) Darkness and Cultural Differences, and (3) Darkness and Thai Spiritual Entities. The majority of students interpreted darkness through cinematic characters, narratives, spiritual beliefs, ghosts, and supernatural elements. The design characteristics predominantly featured subdued color palettes with an emphasis on intricate line work to highlight the unique identity and distinctive attributes of each character. Meanwhile, the costume design works created by second- and third-year students were developed under the primary theme of The Darkness of Bangkok, further divided into three sub-themes: (1) Social Class Divisions, (2) Cultural Diversity, and (3) The Fast-Paced Urban Lifestyle. A total of 34 costume pieces were produced, with students exploring a diverse range of materials and presentation techniques. The construction methods focused on craftsmanship and handmade techniques rather than conventional pattern-making. Many designs incorporated recycled and upcycled materials for costume creation. The use of color varied significantly—some adhered to a dark, monochromatic scheme to align with the overarching concept, while others employed vibrant hues to effectively convey the sub-themes, creating visually compelling interpretations.

The exhibition was held at Ultra Arena, 5th floor, Bravo BKK. In addition to showcasing student works, the event featured body art presentations and fashion design works by creative entrepreneurs, including alumni, artists, and professional networks affiliated with the program. The exhibition documentation included recorded performances, behind-the-scenes footage of the creative process, and interviews with artists, fashion brand designers, models, and influencers, all of which were disseminated through online platforms. This initiative contributed to public relations efforts and the establishment of a distinctive program identity within a broader audience. Furthermore, the project served as a platform for generating professional design knowledge while enhancing students' artistic performance skills and fostering their creative entrepreneurial capabilities effectively.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Art Pritas Journal https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/APJ/article/view/261660 Development of an Online Music Teaching Course of School at Phreak Nam Daeng Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province 2024-03-07T10:00:21+07:00 อวัสดากานต์ ภูมี awasdakan.po@ssru.ac.th
The research article on the development of online music teaching kits for schools in Phraek Nam Daeng Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province aims to create online music teaching kits for singing instruments and basic music theory for schools in Phraek Nam Daeng Subdistrict to be used in teaching and developing musical skills for students in schools. The research methodology employs a critical analysis approach, integrating theoretical frameworks of abstract art and eco-art, complemented by data collection from exhibition curators and related artists. The study incorporates in-depth interviews with Zhang Yatao, the Executive Curator of "The Blue Dream 2024: Sunrise at Sea" International Contemporary Art Exhibition, and comparative art analysis to comprehend the artistic intentions and creative processes. Findings demonstrate that "Somewhere else: Dream of Ocean," executed through woodcut printmaking technique, effectively communicates concepts of global warming and oceanic transformation through strategic employment of dark tones (black and blue) contrasted with maritime color palettes, distorted and flowing linear structures, and dynamic compositional arrangements that evoke movement and uncertainty. The artwork successfully generates environmental awareness regarding marine ecological issues, eliciting emotional responses of concern, tranquility, and contemplation about environmental futures while establishing connections with concepts of natural transformation. The work demonstrates that abstract art functions as an efficacious instrument for communicating contemporary environmental discourse. The integration of traditional techniques with contemporary conceptual frameworks creates innovative dimensions in artistic communication for environmental conservation. This study contributes to the discourse on the role of abstract art in environmental awareness and offers new approaches for utilizing art as a medium for ecological communication within contemporary artistic practice.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Art Pritas Journal
