The aim of the study is to address the students who lack motivation and awareness of the importance of English due to socioeconomic challenges. Alumni from Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University (CPRU) played a key role in initiating acceptance within the community. The camp integrated music and interactive activities into the theory introduced by Chen-Hafteck (1997). The success of the camp was attributed to the expertise of CPRU’s third-year students, who created activities based on motivational and educational theories. The camp was successful in initiating students' awareness of the importance of English. However, sustaining these changes requires a lot more reinforcement in the future. The article also gives recommendations for maintaining support from alumni and regular English teachers in schools.
Mattanaporn Sansak, Sattra Maporn Copyright (c) 2025 Community University Engagement Journal (CUE-J) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CUE-J/article/view/275934 Tue, 02 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Developing a new economic tourism route on the ‘Laitang’ application through the culture of consuming Isan food to sustainably enhance economic value for the community - Year 2. https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CUE-J/article/view/276124
This research article focuses on creating a food tourism route in Maha Sarakham Province, highlighting Isan cuisine that features beef, a key aspect of the region’s food culture. The project's goal is to enhance tourism and support the local economy through technology and marketing efforts. An app named "Lai Thang" was created to gather details about restaurants, menus, and routes for tourists, as well as to produce various promotional materials to advertise both the app and the restaurants. The study involved 20 participating restaurants in Maha Sarakham Province and 297 users of the "LaiTang" app. The findings show that the app and marketing materials were well-received by users and restaurants involved in the project. User satisfaction was high, with an average rating of 4.88 out of 5. An assessment of the 14 restaurants in 2023 indicated that most saw stable or increased revenues following their participation, with 5% reporting higher sales, 80% maintaining their sales, and 15% experiencing a decrease. This suggests that the project has been effective in boosting the local economy. Overall, this research helps advance food tourism in Maha Sarakham Province and adds economic value to the local community.
Araya Senakun, Parachart Ratanapakorn Copyright (c) 2025 Community University Engagement Journal (CUE-J) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CUE-J/article/view/276124 Tue, 02 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Sericulture community enterprises and grassroots economic promotion: A case study of Maha Sarakham Province, Thailand https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CUE-J/article/view/276606
Sericulture community enterprises and grassroots economic promotion: A case study of Maha Sarakham Province, Thailand; Which has 3 objectives; that is, (1) to survey information and operations of the sericulture community enterprise group in Maha Sarakham Province; (2) to study the potential, wisdom, activities and operations of the Sericulture Community Enterprise and (3) to assess the income from mulberry planting and silk raising activities of the target community enterprise members, namely, Ban Bua Kaew Sericulture Community Enterprise.
