AB - <p>The purposes of this research were 1) to study the level of stress and adaptation of the first year undergraduate students of Burapha University, and 2) to compare the stress and adaptation of the first year undergraduate students of Burapha University by gender. The population in this research were 5,834 first year undergraduate students of Burapha University, selected by simple random sampling. After the simple random sampling, it came up with a total of 579 people as a sample of this research. The statistical data analysis was percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. The research result revealed that the stress of the first year undergraduate students was at a moderate level. The comparison of the stress by gender had statistical significant difference at .05 level. The adaption of the first year undergraduate students was at (<img title="\bar{x}" src="https://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex?\bar{x}">) = 36.28, SD = 6.13.
