Community Development and the Three Miraculous Principles of Dhamma

Abstract

Community development through Buddhist principles and rituals is considered the Three Miracles (ปาฏิหาริย์ 3), which play an important role. Community development is regarded as the first step in social development, leading to national development at the macro level. If society is developed with quality, people will experience happiness and an improved quality of life. At present, community development at the municipal level is carried out under the ministerial regulations dividing the departments of the Community Development Department, Ministry of Interior, and in accordance with the Community Development Department’s Strategic Plan (2017–2021). The main missions are: (1) to promote learning and public participation, (2) to develop a stable and sustainable grassroots economy, (3) to support the use of information for analysis, research, and community strategy formulation, and (4) to train and develop personnel involved in community development.
