The research method combines both quantitative and qualitative methods. Firstly, the systematic review was conducted to study the information and elements of designing a virtual reality exergame for wheelchair users and summarized for a design guideline. Secondly, a prototype of a virtual reality exergame was developed. Then it was evaluated by in-depth interviews with 4 experts in VR game design and health fields. The improvement of VR game prototype was done based on the experts’ opinions. Finally, the VR game prototype was evaluated by 20 wheelchair users, 11 males and 9 females, recruited by using snowball selection. The data analysis was descriptive statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the hypothesis testing statistic is the t-test, F-test including interviewing and observing the wheelchair user's behavior before, during and after playing the game. The results of the research revealed that 1) the design elements of virtual exercise games for wheelchair users consisted of 5 main components: virtual environment, immersion, sensory feedback, Interactivity, and accessibility for people with mobility disabilities together with the use of game design principles to increase exercise motivation. 2) the VR game prototype is a cardio exercise, i.e., a ball punching game. It consists of 3 stages which are a warm-up stage and how-to tutorial, first level (easy), and second level (hard). 3) After playing the game, wheelchair users had a statistically significant in physical performance in terms of fatigue level at p < 0.05. The overall of wheelchair users’ satisfactory towards the VR exergame are at the highest level (x̄ = 4.60, S.D. =0.60). Due to the processing technology used in various modern products, the products produced also help to preserve the environment. One important aspect of increasing the value of bamboo is the process of preserving the wood, which affects the longevity of the bamboo. However, the process of preserving bamboo has not been studied and researched concretely. The purpose of this research was to compare the efficiency of bamboo preservation using folk wisdom methods. Bongma bamboo is used in six bamboo preservation processes, including curing the bamboo with water. Curing bamboo by boiling method, curing bamboo by sun drying, curing bamboo by soaking salt method Bamboo incubation with bio-fermented water and smoking. The experimental results showed that there were only four effective methods for preserving bamboo: soaking in running water, boiling with water. All four methods provide equally good protection of the outer wood surface and the penetration of the inner wood. However, preserving bamboo by soaking it in bio-fermented water found wood-eating marks on the outer surface and black mold marks, which results in the beauty of the bamboo and its strength. Moreover, the preservation of bamboo by means of drying in the sun, was found that the bamboo was bitten by insects until it could not be used.
2024-12-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajnu/article/view/264863 A Guideline for urban geometry with tree planting and effect on ventilation and reduce air pollution concentration of urban street canyon in Bangkok 2024-10-22T15:38:56+07:00 Parin Buddee parinb@nu.ac.th
Particulate matter (PM) or PM 2.5 is generated by traffic in urban areas and effects on pedestrian health. Increasing natural ventilation and planting trees on streets will reduce air pollution in urban areas. But ventilation in urban areas is difficult because the airflow is blocked by buildings. Urban geometry indicated Urban density and study on urban street canyon. This paper aim focuses on urban geometry guidelines with tree planting and effect on airflow and reduce PM2.5 concentration in urban street canyon. The simulation studies run with Envi-met software for 2 models of urban street canyon in Bangkok metropolitan with the same orientation for the ambient wind direction perpendicular to the street canyon and arrangement of tree in this area. The results reveal that the H/W ratio and not related to wind speed. If the windward buildings are higher than the leeward buildings, it contributes to increases wind speed and reduces PM2.5 concentration in street canyon area. This research has embodied the framework employing anthropological, psychological, psychoanalytic, and rhetorical theories in order to create a series of contemporary paintings. The exploration of this creative research divides into two distinct phases of creative: 1. collecting information, data analysis, and narrative content generation, and 2. the process of painting studio practice. The investigation employs several creative research methodologies, whereby fine art students as participants serve as evaluators of aesthetic value within the final stages. The research tools encompass technical formats of artistic creation, assessments of aesthetic satisfaction, and the application of narrative analysis. Examination of the findings reveals that the configuration of fine art outcomes derives from psychoanalytic theory, culminating in the development of art forms infused with narratives concerning contemporary human behavior. These narratives reflect the shifting patterns of perception in today’s society, leading to consequences that affect psychological and self-image matters. The creative output serves to both construct and convey the significance inherent in each artistic piece. Subsequently, the evaluation of perceptual reception within distinct dimensions unveils that the levels of aesthetic contentment predominantly span the range from moderately satisfying to highly satisfying, affirming the successful realization of the artistic process of this creative research.
2024-12-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajnu/article/view/263924 Application of mural painting at Chai Si Temple Khon Kaen province for fashion design 2024-12-11T16:11:33+07:00 Rawinphat Keeratiphatthamrong patcharin.s@mail.rmutk.ac.th Surakarn Ruaisungnoen patcharin.sa@kkumail.com
The objectives of this study are 1) to study the elements of mural painting at Chai Si temple in Khon Kaen province 2) to apply mural painting at Chi Si temple in Khon Kaen province with digital printing technology for fashion product deesign, 3) to evaluate the fashion product design applied from mural painting at Chai Si temple in Khon Kaen province. Closure is a method that helps to attach, cling, bind, and assists in opening and loosening. Used for costumes, modular apparel refers to clothing that has a modular system design. Garments can be disassembled and reattached to original or different positions by using a variety clothing fasteners. This article aims to study the origins of modular clothing, analyze the relationship of modular concepts with examples of past costumes and understand the apparel fabrication process related to a modular concept. So far, analysis of current modular clothing structure by type, description and comparative methods, along with illustrations, have shown that costumes in the past had employed modular thinking. Tailor-made construction methods are consistent with the modular sustainability principle. Currently, sustainability has promoted modular fashion with greater variation. It also found that there are three types of modular clothing structures: separate component structure, geometric structure, and compound structure. Effective modular clothing must have good elements: form, ease of use, and an efficient connective systems. These necessary elements can serve as a guideline for further development of research guidelines in the design of sustainable clothing attachments in the fashion industry.
2024-12-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajnu/article/view/266886 Upgrading cultural products to meet Thung Luang Rangsit 2023-07-04T10:42:33+07:00 chomchan dowduen chomchan.cd@gmail.com Ditawats innupat Chomchan_d@rmutt.ac.th
The objectives of this research were 1) to study historical value, belief, way of life, physical geography of Thung Luang Rangsit which affects the livelihood and occupation of people in Thung Luang Rangsit, Pathum Thani province. 2) To upgrade products that reflect historical identity and local cultural bases in enhancing the occupation of the Thung Luang Rangsit community, Pathum Thani province to be accepted and generate income for the community; and 3) to pass on the knowledge of the professional arts in the development of products available in the community through innovation.
