There are 3 steps of research methodology: Step 1: Go on-site to study the context and organize a forum to find methods to develop sandstone planters’ product together; Step 2: Activity to design sandstone casting planters with community experts. Step 3: Prototyping workshops and molding production to work with entrepreneurs in the community. The results showed that 1. The entrepreneurs of Ban Nong Sano Community Enterprise Group were the original people in that community. Most of them are agricultural workers and factory workers, so their skills are limited in printing and casting sandstone, but cannot create models by themselves. Because the lack of skill in molding that must be learned and understood. Therefore, a potter had to be hired to make a prototype for them. Inability to design and build prototypes on their own. Therefore, an idea was born to create a prototype from natural surfaces by using printing skills that can already be done to develop a prototype product with community. 2. The development of the prototype product has a unique surface and deep grooves that can be molded into a clear pattern. There are pineapples, pumpkins, melons, jackfruit, custard, cauliflower and white lettuce to developed into a 3D model; 3. The workshop on sandstone planters prototype from natural surfaces and shapes was created together to produce a piece that could be sold and for developing professional skills. There are a total of 10 interested entrepreneurs to jointly produce 10 planters’ prototypes that will serve as a guideline for the development of design for entrepreneurs to create prototypes from natural textures and shapes by themselves to produce products for distribution to generate income for the community.
kriangkrai duangkhachon Wannasa Sanlum Copyright (c) 2024 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-05-30 2024-05-30 15 1 1 16 Cartoon character design for the King Naresuan exhibition and convention center https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajnu/article/view/265371
The purposes of this research were 1. to study and analyze the design of cartoon characters for the King Naresuan Exhibition and Convention Center and 2. to evaluate the opinions regarding the design of cartoon characters for the King Naresuan Exhibition and Convention Center. The objectives of this research were to 1. design and develop fabric patterns and women’s clothing inspired by these patterns and 2. to study people’s satisfaction with clothes featuring such designs. The data were collected via an online survey of 100 target users including working women in the private and government sectors in Bangkok. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and the chi-square test. The researcher took inspiration from the designs, textures, and color schemes of Chakri patterns in creating patterns and printing techniques on woven fabric. The color and fashion trends were applied to design clothes that would appeal to the women who were surveyed. Four of the 12 designs with digital prototype development with a 3D patterning were selected by three experts with at least five years of design experience. The samples were very satisfied with the proposed designs. Four of the five surveyed respondents indicated a purchase intention when considering the suitable for daily life usage. Studying the background of patterned Phasin Tin Jok Doi tao. 2. Studying the marketing methodology and mechanisms of selling Phasin Tin Jok Doi Tao during Covid-19. “Doi Tao”a small district in Chiang Mai. When talking about Doi Tao, the song “Young boy from Doi Tao” is probably the first thing people think of. Not many people know that Doi Tao also produces beautiful patterned Phasin Tin Jok that has been known for “The Queen of Phasin” named by Asst. Prof. Wiluck Sripasang. Tin Jok from Doi Tao has been quite unpopular nowadays, although the pattern of Doi Tao’s phasin was very exquisite in the past. Stories have been interpreted through Tin Jok’s various designs and patterns. There’s a chance that the weaving culture will become extinct. Sometimes people call Doi Tao’ phasin "Sin Nam Tuam (flooding phasin).” At present, Doi Tao’s phasin has gained more attention from the new generation as they continue to weave for their community. Even though Doi Tao’s phasin is expensive. The group’s sale method is considered innovative. When listing in online platforms, the products are well-received and sold out immediately regardless of an expensive price in terms of the pattern. It has been selling well. The fabric is usually sold out after being listed in the market. All fabric patterns are related to Buddhism and lifestyles of the locals. However, when COVID-19 hit the world, the fabric stops selling as the purchasing power has been declined. This paper is, therefore, the continuation of designing fabric patterns that are contemporary, leading to the adaptation of weaving process for a simpler weaving method. The author therefore analyzes the structure of Doi Tao’s phasin and its pattern. The author sincerely hopes that this article will be useful for those who are studying the design of woven fabric’s patterns to further their studies in designing. The sale process of the group is considered to be innovative but if the product is adjusted, studies the consumers needs, adds marketing awareness to local villagers, distributes knowledge from the leaders of the weaving group to the villagers in the community, Phasin Doi Tao will definitely be able to develop and adapt.
Jantrapa Rujinam Ratrhia Poencharoen Copyright (c) 2024 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-05-30 2024-05-30 15 1 126 135 Display design guidelines for the elderly https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajnu/article/view/254201
Today, the concept of museum design that realizes design for all including the elderly. were considered more. Since the customers tend to be interested and influenced by its cost and the simplified construction process, thus, the small prefabricated house’s construction process is populist and has been adapted to a permanent house, temporary house, resort, homestay, or café. This article aims to study factors and small residence demand in order to propose the design guideline for a small fabricated house in Thailand. The result of the study showed that the house’s cost, function, area size, architectural pattern, and materials were the factors that could be developed for the design’s options. The building owner would be able to choose the structure of their own such as the roof pattern, the roof’s materials, the house’s surface materials, the wall and the solid wall materials, and the extension of the home. The design guidelines could propose a variety of flexible options that can adapt to each specific area, and could be conformed to the customer’s demand based on different conditions.
janit suphannawong Nopadon Thungsakul Chumnan Boonyaputthipong Copyright (c) 2024 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-05-30 2024-05-30 15 1 152 165 Applying community-based design principles for logo and packaging design hand-woven textile group Ban Wai Lum community, Chiang Kwan District, Roi Et province https://so01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/ajnu/article/view/263289
This research aims to 1.
