Rules of origin are common in regional<br>integration agreements. In FTAs, the exporters are required to produce the product or<br>substantial transformation under free trade agreement. So the aim of this article is to study<br>the rule of production to be goods which are wholly obtained or produced in the territory<br>exporting party. It is focused on preferential rules of origin’s case study on the industry of<br>gems and jewelry under ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA). The results from<br>this study show, the exporter may use FTA cost statement calculator for a preliminary<br>assessment of the qualifying value content (RVC) and/or substantial transformation rules<br>(Change in Tariff Classification Level and Processing Operation Rules) under a specific Free<br>Trade Agreement. For the industry of gems and jewelry under ASEAN Trade in Goods<br>Agreement (ATIGA), the exporter will have to calculate RVC Value and/or substantial<br>transformation rules under product specific rules (PSR).</p> ER -
