The research tools were literature review, observations and interviews with authorities on Thai classical music and dances so that they could provide detailed information about Traa dance patterns of the lead male characters in Khon. Such information included the creation of the dance patterns during the Ayutthaya period, their development before they were taught in the College of Dramatic Arts in 1934 and until now. The dance patterns included Traa Nimit, Traa Bong Kan, Traa Non, Traa Buntom Prai, Traa Narai Plang, Traa Choen, Traa Sannibat, and Traa Narai Buntom Sin. When the researcher studied the dance patterns performed by Associate Professor Dr. Supachai Chansuwan, a national artist in performing arts, it is found that some Traa dance patterns play an important role in the development of the learners’ dance skills. They are the body movement of the male characters, the standard dance patterns that began from the beginner level to the advanced level and the rhythm of Tap Traa and Traa dance patterns of Khon male charaters. All of these have been taught in a school offering a course about dance patterns of Khon male characters.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Fine Arts Journal: Srinakharinwirot University}, author={คงฟู จักราวุธ}, year={2018}, month={Jun.}, pages={109–117} }
