THE CHARACTERISTICS OF SPORT TEAM CAPTAINS

This article is intended to study the characteristics of sport team captains and the policy selecting the sport team captains. The results found that the characteristics of sports team captains consisted of the leadership; personality; communication; motivation; human relationship; and sportsmanship. The players who have the characteristics of such sports team leaders were considered; the participation on the selection process should be used are the policy selecting the sport team captains. If the competition was an international game, some abilities in English communication is necessary. The team captains also should be evaluated for developing some weaken points, promoting the sports team captains by training some main characteristics of the sport team captains.
