FACTORS AFFECTING THE FEDERATED SEARCH TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION IN ACCESSING ELECTRONIC DATABASE OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AT PHRANAKHON RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The Purpose of this research was to find the Factors Affecting The Federated Search Technology Adoption in Accessing Academic Search Complete database Science Direct database and EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) Plus Full Text database of undergraduate students at Phranakhon  Rajabhat  University. The population used was 11,542 Undergraduate students at Phranakhon Rajabhat University. The sample size was 398 people using stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire for the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for Perceived ease of use was 0.85 and Perceived usefulness was 0.83. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
 Findings were as follows Frequencies in Accessing Academic Search Complete database Science Direct database and EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) Plus Full Text database were 2.70 2.91 and 2.49 times per week respectively. Perceived ease of use was equal to 3.80 or at a high level. Perceived usefulness was equal to 3.81 or at a high level. Perceived ease of use and Perceived usefulness affected Federated Search Technology Adoption in Accessing Academic Search Complete database Science Direct database and EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) Plus Full Text database with a statistical significance level of .05. Findings were proved to support the hypothesis.
