GUIDELINE FOR PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT OF OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR BUILDING PUBLIC CONFIDENCE

Abstract

The purposes of this academic article were to 1) study some limitations on prosecution principles of the Office of the Attorney General, and 2) offer perspectives on performance development of office of the attorney general. The analysis was found that limitation on prosecution principles of the Office of the Attorney General was the prosecution of the prosecutors by opportunity principle. Especially, in the case of non-prosecution that interested the public, people may question whether the justice process was discriminatory which affected the public confidence level. Thus, guideline for building public confidence was emphasized on the right to know of the people in accordance with the provisions of the law in the procedures of office of the attorney general. This was based on transparency, and people could check. Finally, these could make public confidence in the justice of office of the attorney general.
