การพัฒนาความสามารถด้านการฟัง – พูดภาษาอังกฤษ โดยใช้กิจกรรมเสริมทักษะทางภาษา English Listening and Speaking Skill Development by English Language Activities

บทคัดย่อ

     การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลการใช้กิจกรรมเสริมทักษะภาษาของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่เรียนรายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษในหมวดวิชาศึกษาทั่วไป และเพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อกิจกรรมเสริมทักษะทางภาษา ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงทดลอง ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนรายวิชา Communicative English through Media (1500107) หมวดวิชาศึกษาทั่วไป ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2555 จำนวน  43 คน จาก 4 สาขาวิชา คือ สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา พัฒนาชุมชน ชีววิทยา และพระพุทธศาสนา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แผนการสอนกิจกรรมเสริมทักษะการฟัง-พูดภาษาอังกฤษ และกิจกรรมเสริมทักษะทางภาษา แบบทดสอบการฟัง-พูดภาษาอังกฤษ ก่อนและหลังการทดลอง เกณฑ์ประเมินความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นต่อกิจกรรมเสริมทักษะทางภาษา และแบบบันทึกผลการเรียนรู้หลังการฝึกสนทนาของนักศึกษา สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าคะแนนความเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และเปรียบเทียบความสามารถด้านการฟัง-พูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารก่อนและหลังทดลองโดยใช้ t-test for Dependent Samples

          ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักศึกษาที่เรียนโดยใช้กิจกรรมเสริมทักษะทางภาษามีความสามารถด้านการฟัง-พูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และในภาพรวมนักศึกษามีความคิดเห็นหลังจากได้ฝึกกิจกรรมเสริมทักษะทางภาษาในระดับมากที่สุด (ค่าเฉลี่ย 4.57)

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were to study the result of using language activities of undergraduates enrolling English general education courses in the first semester, academic year 2012 and their attitude towards the English language activities. Research methodology is experimental research. Population was 43 undergraduates enrolling the Communicative English through Media course majoring in Sports Science, Community Development, Biology and Buddhism. The research instruments were lesson plans, listening and speaking English activities, a pre-test and a post-test, scoring rubric for communicative English speaking competence, and 5 rating scale attitude to English activities. The statistics used in data analysis were means score, standard deviation and t-test for dependent samples.

The results were as follows: 1) after using listening and speaking English activities, the score of the communicative abilities significantly increased at the level of .05. and 2) overall, undergraduates’ attitude towards listening and speaking English activities was in the highest level with the means value at 4.57.
