Rabbits: The Solution to the Expensive Pork Era

The objective of this study is to develop and to find alternative meats to the pork due to a supply shortage caused by the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak. Because of the rising price of animal feed materials causes the cost of pork production to increase more than double. As a result, pork is already super expensive. The results of the study found that rabbit meat is considered an alternative economic animal. However, the meat rabbit farm in Thailand is not very familiar and widespread. While the demand for rabbit meat consumption continues to increase, especially in the restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions and place where foreigners living. As a result, the rabbit meat will be a good priced and in the market demand. Then, the rabbits are considered as very interesting economic animals at this time. The interesting of raising meat rabbits are hassle - free management, low investment, payback in a short time, and more easily and quickly profitable. Beside rabbits provide meats they also provide wool and leather which can be used to make products product and make money as well.
