ACADEMIC LESSON LEARNED AND SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTION IN CASE OF KHUNG BANGKACHAO, PHRA PRADAENG DISTRICT, SAMUT PRAKAN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims to 1) compile and summarize the results of the biodiversitybased economy development office (BEDO) that operates in the Khung Bangkachao area with the budget in the year 2011-2017; 2) create a process of participation, awareness and understanding between the communities, the organizations and the private sectors; and 3) take the academic lesson learned to make recommendations for action. The qualitative research was conducted to collect the data from the samples such as the community leaders,
organizations, and related organizations that have contributed to the activities or projects of the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (PO) in the research area. The research found that the works of the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office in Khung Bangkachao area was the research projects to obtain information on identity, potentials, problems, needs of local communities and the development through participatory process with communities, local organizations, and related organizations. Later, the development plan was produced and implemented to suit the local needs and conditions.
