ATTITUDE AND IDEA TO BUSINESS JAPANESE PROFICIENCY TEST (BJT) IN THAILAND

The study aimed to investigate the attitudes and ideas of Japanese companies in Thailand towards the Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT). Population consisted of the Japanese organization in Thailand, People who had taken the Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT), and the university in Thailand, which has a Business Japanese Course. Data were collected using an in-depth interview. The results showed that three groups of participants had similar attitudes. These were indicating that BJT was still not widely advertised. The Thailand-based Japanese companies did not require BJT for job applicants. However, the three groups revealed that BJT was the most appropriate test due to the content and skills related to business. The participants recommended that BJT be used to test Business Japanese proficiency so that the general public could be aware of its potential significance
