PRE-RETIREMENT PREPARATION OF SUPPORT STAFF OF SUAN DUSIT UNIVERSITY

The purpose of this study was to examine pre-retirement preparation of support staff of Suan Dusit University. The samples were 253 male and female support staff between 40 - 60 years of age. A questionnaire was used as a research instrument for data collection, and the statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. It was found that: For the level of pre-retirement preparation of support staff of Suan Dusit University, it was found that the overall staff’s physical preparation was at a high level, while the overall psychological, financial, and living preparation was at a moderate level. For the comparison of pre-retirement preparation of support staff of Suan Dusit University based on personal factors, it was found that the staff with different sexes, ages, statuses, family relationships, health condition, recognition of information on retirement, positions, roles, and years in government service, and social support from coworkers had no different pre-retirement preparation overall. Meanwhile the staff with different educational backgrounds and family incomes had different pre-retirement preparation at a statistical level of 0.01.
