การวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณอายุทำงานของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนมหาวิทยาลัยสวนดุสิต กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ บุคลากรสายสนับสนุนทั้งชายและหญิงที่มีอายุ 40 - 60 ปี จำนวน 253 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล และสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที ผลการศึกษาวิจัย พบว่า การเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณอายุทำงานของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนมหาวิทยาลัยสวนดุสิต มีระดับการเตรียมตัวด้านร่างกาย โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก และการเตรียมตัวด้านจิตใจ การเตรียมตัวด้านการเงิน และการเตรียมตัวด้านการดำเนินชีวิต โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง เมื่อจำแนกตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล พบว่า บุคลากรที่มีเพศ อายุ สถานภาพ สัมพันธภาพในครอบครัว ภาวะสุขภาพ การรับรู้ข้อมูลการเกษียณตำแหน่งหน้าที่ ระยะเวลาการรับราชการ และการสนับสนุนทางสังคมจากเพื่อนร่วมงานแตกต่างกัน มีการเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณอายุทำงานโดยรวม ไม่แตกต่างกัน ส่วนบุคลากรที่มีระดับการศึกษา และรายได้ในครอบครัว แตกต่างกัน มีการเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณอายุทำงานโดยรวมแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.01
