การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาระดับปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงาน 2) ศึกษาระดับภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงาน และ 3) วิเคราะห์อิทธิพลของปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานที่ส่งผลต่อภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงานของข้าราชการกองพันระวังป้องกัน สำนักงานปลัดกระทรวงกลาโหม กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 114 คน ด้วยวิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่ายและเก็บข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติเชิงอนุมานด้วยการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยพหุคูณ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงานโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลางเช่นกัน ผลการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยพหุคูณพบว่า ปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานทั้ง3 ด้าน ได้แก่ ความเหมาะสมกับงาน บรรยากาศในที่ทำงาน และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคล มีอิทธิพลเชิงลบต่อภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงานอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 กล่าวคือ เมื่อสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานดีขึ้น ภาวะหมดไฟจะลดลง ผลการศึกษาเสนอให้หน่วยงานมุ่งพัฒนาความเหมาะสมของงานให้สอดคล้องกับบทบาทและภารกิจ เสริมสร้างบรรยากาศการทำงานที่เอื้อต่อความร่วมมือ และส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคลในหน่วย เพื่อช่วยลดภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงานและเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการปฏิบัติงานโดยรวม
