Communication and Media in Asia Pacific (CMAP) is a peer‑reviewed journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering critical understanding in communication and media scholarship, with a particular emphasis on the Asia Pacific region. The journal provides a platform for original research, theoretical development, and applied studies that contribute to the interdisciplinary field of communication.

CMAP welcomes submissions across a wide spectrum of areas, including but not limited to:

  • Organizational communication: Studies of communication processes within and between organizations.
  • Marketing communication: Advertising, branding, integrated marketing communication, and consumer engagement.
  • Mass communication: Broadcasting, journalism, media industries, media economics, and media history.
  • Intercultural and interpersonal communication: Cross‑cultural dialogue, identity, and relational communication.
  • Critical and theoretical studies: Communication theory, cultural studies, and critical perspectives on media and society.
  • Aesthetic and performance communication: Performing arts, film, photography, animation, graphics, and speech communication.

The journal also encourages submissions that explore emerging areas such as digital media, social media platforms, communication technologies, and the role of media in shaping public discourse and cultural identity in the Asia Pacific.
