Abstract
This study was a survey research aiming to: 1) study the current and expected states of management of student affairs of schools under The St. Gabriel’s foundation of Thailand. 2) present guidelines for management of student affairs of schools under The St. Gabriel’s foundation of Thailand. The population were 14 schools under the St. Gabriel’s foundation of Thailand. The sample population used in the research were 200 administrators, co-administrators and head of the class. The tools used in research were rating-scaled questionnaires and semi-constructed interviews. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the priority needs index modified, and content analysis.
The research results showed as follows. 1) Both in general and in each aspect, the current state of management of student affairs of schools under the St. Gabriel’s foundation of Thailand was at a high level. while the expected states was at the highest level. 2) The guidelines for management of student affairs of schools under the St. Gabriel’s foundation of Thailand consisted of seven main guidelines, including nineteen approaches for practice: (1) Working class with 2 approaches; (2) Encouraging students to be disciplined with 3 approaches; (3) Student council with 2 approaches (4) Scouts and preventive action with 3 approaches; (5) Sports with 3 approaches; (6) Music with 3 approaches and (7) Community Relations with 3 approaches.
