The purpose of this research were to 1) study the supervision needs of assistant teacher in secondary schools under the secondary educational service area office 1 and 2. And 2) promote the operational supervision guideline of assistant teacher in secondary schools under the secondary educational service area office 1 and 2. The sample consisted of 305 assistant teachers under the secondary educational service area office 1 and 2. Data were collected through the state of operational supervision format questionnaire and semi-structured interview. Descriptive analysis, Priority Need Index (PNI modified) and content analysis were used for data analysis. The research findings were as follow:1. Assistant teachers were in need of community related operation, followed by academic improvement and workplace development orderly.2. The guideline to promote the operational supervision of assistant teacher were 1) supporting classroom action research and making use of findings in term of resolving classroom problems. 2) advice assistant teacher on student development using psychological methods and using various medias educate students virtue 3) assigning assistant teacher to analyze inside and outside learning places 4) giving advice about the working rules 5) introducing assistant teacher to nearby community
