Sculpture Art Flying Deities in Longmen Grottoes of Luoyang: Creating Flying Animation

The Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang is a famous cave art heritage in China, known for its unique artistic style and rich cultural connotations. As an important part of the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, the Flying Sky pattern has unique modelling and symbolic significance, and is one of the important elements of Chinese traditional art. The purpose is: to analyse the correlation and possibility between animation creation and traditional art.The results of the study found that the visual features of the Flying Deity statue at Longmen Grottoes demonstrate the cultural fusion of Chinese and Indian art. Animated versions can vividly reproduce the elegance and spirituality of the art. The digital transmission also broadens the reach and appeal to younger audiences. Incorporating the flying motifs of the Longmen Grottoes into the creation of 2D animation can improve the artistic quality and appeal of the animation, and dynamic special effects and character design are considered the best methods to apply.
