Human Capital Creation in the Area of Indigenous Knowledge for the young generation: The Case Study of Indigenous Vegetable Knowledge

This study aimed to propose a plausible model of indigenous knowledge human capital (HC) creation in the area of indigenous vegetable knowledge for a young generation with use of Web 2.0 services. This research was action research taken place at Ban Yangdeang elementary
school in Sanamchaikate district, Chacheonsao province. There were 22 students in grade 5 and 6 participating in human capital creation and measurement. The human capital creation activities were conducted with collaboration of teachers at the school and an organic agricultural group in Sanamchaikate district. The data gathering technique during human capital creation processes was focus group and observation. The human capital creation model comprised five elements indigenous knowledge, knowledge senders and human capital creators, knowledge transfer processes, knowledge creation, and indigenous knowledge human capital. The knowledge transfer processes and knowledge creation processes were use Web 2.0 services Blog, social network (Facebook) and multimedia sharing (Youtube and Flickr) that support interactive learning and learning through visualization and learning in team. The students were measured the indigenous knowledge human capital before and after the human capital creation processes. The results show that the human capital of the students after attending the HC creation processes was increased from 59.28 which were referred to moderated level of HC to 74.04 which indicated the high level of HC.
