Abstract

This paper proposes a green logistics concept framework, founded on sustainable business operations, for maintaining competitive advantage in the transportation industry. A comprehensive understanding of green logistics is developed by reviewing secondary data from academic and internet resources. The review suggests that the ability to provide services in transportation and logistics significantly impacts competitive advantage, particularly in terms of sustainability. The integration of environmental performance in social, economic, and governance aspects is crucial for the shipping industry's sustainability. The framework highlights the significant relationship between performance indicators of competitive advantage, including cost, quality, time, reliability, and innovation, in achieving sustainable operating results.
