STUDY OF BLACK TAI CULTURAL IDENTITY IN NAKHON PATHOM PROVINCE FOR APPLYING IN COSTUME DESIGN

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the Tai Song Dum cultural identity 2) to analysis and design the costume from Tai Song Dum identity 3) to assess the satisfaction from customers. Population and sample used in this research are 3 Tai Song Dum persons, 3 specialists of costume design by specific selection methods and 33 persons for satisfaction assessment including 3 Tai Song Dum costume designers and 33 Working Women between 30-40 Years old. The results showed that cultural Identity of Tai Song Dum can divide habitat, Language, costume, food, Beliefs, traditions and rituals. Analysis of identity for applied costume design can used color and pattern of plant animals assessorial and other. Moreover, the Jasmine flower pattern was used to apply in costume because of good meaning, beautiful and appropriate. At present, Jasmine pattern has been still used because its beauty and easy to make it. Costume from Identity of Tai Song Dum was assessed by specialist of Costume designed and the costume designs were assessed the satisfaction from the target group 33 persons. The results of the overall satisfaction were summarized with a high average  = 4.13 and standard Deviation S.D. = 1.05
