The Art Installation of Ceramics Technique: A Freedom of Sea Creatures after COVID 19

Abstract

ABSTRACT

In the circumstance that Covid-19 is severely spreading recently, it directly and indirectly affects human beings. There has been a protective measure of quarantine for safety and to control spreading of the disease. While human beings protect themselves by quarantine, animals, on the other hand, live freely with no disturbance from human beings and their number increases in such short period of time. This can be observed by frequent sighting especially Blacktip reef shark and false killer whale which are rare creature in the seas.

Therefore, the author wishes to present the abundance of wildlife in the nature after Covid-19 by using Blacktip reef shark and false killer whale as media to reflect independence, safety and this would urge the realization of the preservable value of the amount of wildlife in the nature. The porcelain technique was used in creating the workpieces of these 2 fish by reducing the details of the figure and shape in order to create the feeling of relaxation and smoothness. Each fish has its own graceful sliding curve. Then they would be the stepof white coating to the work because white can indicate lightness and they would be arranged in the arrangement art by using a large curve influencing the feeling of independent movement. In order to make everyone realize the importance of wildlife, there have been more work pieces serving as symbolic expression.
