THE ANALYSIS OF COMPOSITION IN ART AND THE USING OF ART MATERIALS FOR LEARNING AND TEACHING IN PAINTING DEPARTMENT IN THE CASE STUDY OF PROFESSOR EMERITUS VICHOKE MUKDAMANEE

Abstract

This research aims to gather, compile, and review the works of Professor Emeritus Vichoke Mukdamanee. The research would provide an understanding of his work's creative process, and techniques, as well as an assessment of the works' artistic composition principles.  The concept of art composition was interpreted which is an important aspect of integrating aesthetics in many forms with the use of qualitative research methods.

Based on the objectives, the research reveals that 1). the background, concepts, and experiences, such as stories from daily life, family, and community, are the most important basis of the work, as is the condition of the environment that is affected by technology in this era. Because globalization has accelerated the transformation of human lives and livelihoods, 2). the creative process 2.1). art composition, visual elements in 3 works: 1). Growth, 2003; 2). Signal in Environment, 2016; and 3 Rest, 2018. These works have been interpreted or transformed into an abstract state, together with the found object and various materials that have been disassembled to reveal the key components of the works 2.2). the content: Upon examining these pieces, the artist told a simple story that illustrates both the reality of life and the source of the creative elements. The content employs both assembled and collected visual elements that are used to construct works as well as fundamental visual elements developed by artists. It is a display of fertility and beauty that reflects the truth of nature 2.3). techniques: covering painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. 3). after analyzing and summarizing the research, it is possible to conclude that there has been a connection between the creation of his works and his previous works, which were acquired from the artist’s experience. Paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and installations all have a common point of view. Together with the combination of various materials, such as natural, collected, and finished materials, this uniformity contributes to the appreciation and uniqueness of his works. The stories given reflect the changes that occur over each period as a result of past occurrences and inspiration.
