Abstract

This documentary research article aims to present the phenomena and future trends of educational management in Thailand. The findings reveal that: (1) Thailand is facing global changes in the 21st century, including digital technology advancement, the knowledge-based economy, multicultural society, and global challenges, all of which directly affect the education system at all levels. (2) An analysis of future trends in Thailand’s educational management, together with a comparative review of education systems recognized for excellence namely Finland, Singapore, and South Korea and an examination of Thailand’s current educational context, indicates key directions for development. These include the enhancement of 21st-century skills, the evolving roles of teachers and educational administrators in the digital era, and the improvement of the overall quality of Thai education. These directions serve as guidelines for elevating the quality of Thai education to enable sustainable competitiveness and collaboration at the international level. Future educational management must emphasize quality, equity, and global relevance, focusing on developing learners’ knowledge, skills, and essential attributes required for living in the 21st century. Achieving these goals requires collaboration from all sectors, including government agencies, educational institutions, teachers, students, parents, and communities, to jointly build an education system that drives the development of Thai youth into competent global citizens. The success of Thai education in the future will be measured by the ability of Thai graduates to compete and collaborate on the global stage, demonstrate positive transformational leadership, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable and livable global society for all.
