Abstract

There are mainly two factors for Chinese cultural thought to spread in Thailand, one is the Chinese immigrants, and the other is the dissemination of Chinese works, especially the translated Chinese works that appeared during the reign Bangkok Rama I. There was almost no translator that was good at both Chinese and Thai, therefore the Thai court used a very specific way to solve this problem. First, they let Chinese who were proficient in Chinese to translate the works into simple Thai, and then let Thai people to write into Thai rhetoric. Later, when Western culture passed into Thailand gradually, the spread of Chinese cultural thought was slowly affected. Especially when twists and turns occurred between Thailand and China, all things that related to China were been significantly affected. Nowadays, Thailand-China relations are back to normal, and more intimate and frequent than ever before, everything that related to China is very popular in Thailand currently, which is an important factor for the spread of Chinese cultural thought in Thailand.
