Abstract

In recent years, the number of people learning Chinese in Thailand has continued to increase, and it has become one of the most popular foreign languages among Thai students. Although the development of Chinese teaching in primary and secondary schools and undergraduates stage is in full swing in Thailand, the cultivation of master’ s degree and doctor's degree in Chinese major is not ideal in colleges and universities. Therefore, this paper will take the master and doctoral major (Chinese direction) of the Department of Eastern languages, Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University as the research object, and analyze and discuss the talent training mode of this major around the training methods, curriculum, teachers, and students. It aims to provide reference and enlightenment for the construction of Chinese majors in Thai universities, and also provides a theoretical basis for solving the problems existing in the cultivation of postgraduate degree in Chinese majors in Thai universities. It will help to strengthen the in-depth cooperation between China and Thailand in training master and doctoral students majoring in Chinese. At the same time, it can also be used as a practical case for the study of the nationalization of Chinese international communication.
