จารึกอักษรจีนบนระฆังของศาสนสถานจีนในไทย : บันทึกหน้าหนึ่ง ทางประวัติศาสตร์

Abstract

บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษาจารึกอักษรจีนที่ปรากฏบนระฆังในศาสนสถานของชาวจีนทั่วไทย ทั้งสิ้น 42 ใบ จาก 39 ศาสนสถาน โดยจำแนกประเภทของหัวข้อที่ศึกษาไว้ 6 ด้าน คือ ชื่อสถานที่ พระนามสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ชื่อผู้ถวาย วัน-เวลาที่จัดสร้าง แหล่งผลิตตัวระฆัง รวมทั้งคำ อวยพรที่ได้ระบุจารึกไว้บนระฆัง

จากการศึกษาพบว่าจารึกบนระฆังเหล่านี้มีคุณค่าทางประวัติศาสตร์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง มีถ้อยความบันทึกอันเกี่ยวข้องกับวิถีชีวิตของชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลในสยามเมื่อครั้งอดีต ทั้งเรื่อง ความเชื่อ ถิ่นกำเนิด อีกทั้งจารึกที่ปรากฎบนระฆังเหล่านื้ ยังสามารถใช้เป็นข้อมูลในการ ตรวจสอบข้อมูลทางประวัติศาสตร์ของท้องถิ่นนั้นๆ ได้เป็นอย่างดีอีกด้วย

Chinese Inscriptions on Bells in Chinese Religious Places in Thailand: A Part of the History Record

This article aims to study Chinese inscriptions on bells in Chinese religious places around Thailand, all together forty-two bells from thirty-nine places. The article is divided into six aspects namely names of places, names of sacred objects, names of the offerors, dates and times of construction, places of the origins, and benisons. From the study, the inscriptions on the bells are historically invaluable, especially that they have recorded stories regarding overseas Chinese’s ways of life in Thailand, both about their beliefs and motherland. Moreover, they serve as a good source of reference for local histories.

泰國中式寺廟中的梵鐘銘文：歷史之記載

本文主要研究存放在泰國39 座中式寺廟中的42 座梵鐘之銘文。以其地 名、神靈、捐贈者、時間、制造地及祝願詞作為這次的研究對象。研究發 現，梵鐘上的銘文具有一定的文獻價值，它記錄了當時泰國社會中的華人信 仰、故居，同時還能作為歷史的佐證。
