Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the present status of the cooperation between homeschool-parents and school in terms of teaching-learning management; and to find some factors that had an effect on students’ achievement. The quantitative sample was 113 homeschool-parents who have already registered to the educational service area throughout the country, using a questionnaire for collecting data; meanwhile, the qualitative sample was 5 parents and school administrators, using an in-depth interview. The qualitative data was analyzed by relation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis, while qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis. The research found that the cooperation of the school regarding laboratory, specialist teachers, and evaluation criteria were relied on the needs of academic assistance, learning activities through community’s resource, and the availability of parents, had a prior effect on teaching behavior of parents before having an effect on student’s academic achievement, social adaptability, and morality.
