Abstract

           This research aimed to compare the concepts of freedom between Karl Marx's concept and Jean-Paul Sartre’s concept. It was a qualitative research by documentary research. Data were collected from secondary sources in the country and outside the countries. To be analysis and synthesis by presenting like description

            The results of research were found that both Karl Mark’s concept and Jean-Paul Sartre’s concepts agreed that objectives of existentialism should focus on respecting value of human’s existential. However, at the end, Mark argued that the value of human’s existential was influenced by economic which was caused of humanistics freedom to be limited. Anymore, Alienation had accorded that Mark’s concept depended on the freedom of society as a whole which was especially found in societies of proletariats and capitalists. In contrast, Alienation had accorded to Sartre’s concept depended on individual freedom which have come together with responsibility.
