บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษากระบวนการของน้ำในพื้นที่ชุมชนเกษตรกรรมในพื้นที่ชนบท มีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องทำความเข้าใจภูมินิเวศเป็นพื้นฐาน เนื่องจากชุมชนในพื้นที่ชนบท ดำรงชีพอย่างสัมพันธ์กับทรัพยากรและกระบวนการทางธรรมชาติ การทำความเข้าใจเรื่องน้ำโดยการใช้แนวคิดภูมินิเวศวิทยา (Landscape Ecology) (Forman & Godron, 1986) เริ่มต้นจากทำความเข้าใจโครงสร้าง (Structures) ของพื้นที่ เพื่อนำไปสู่การอธิบายหน้าที่ (Functions) ผ่านกระบวนการของน้ำ (Hydrological processes) ในพื้นที่ จากนั้นอธิบายการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้งานพื้นที่ (Changes) โดยใช้ชุดข้อมูลเชิงผัง เชิงตาราง ประกอบกับข้อมูลจากกระบวนการการมีส่วนร่วม พื้นที่ศึกษามีบริบทเป็นชายฝั่งทะเลอันดามัน มีกระบวนการของน้ำฝน น้ำท่าและน้ำขึ้นน้ำลง เป็นตัวกำหนดลักษณะการใช้งานพื้นที่และวิถีชีวิต ทำให้ผลกระทบที่เกิดจากการพัฒนาพื้นที่อย่างไม่สอดคล้องกับบริบทภูมินิเวศ ก่อให้เกิดความไม่มั่นคงในวิถีชีวิตและทรัพยากร ซึ่งข้อค้นพบนี้ได้ถูกพัฒนาเป็นข้อเสนอการจัดการทรัพยากรน้ำ โดยใช้แนวทางการจัดการพื้นที่ด้วยหลักทางภูมินิเวศวิทยาและกลไกทางสังคม เพื่อให้เกิดการแก้ไขปัญหาที่สอดคล้องไปกับกระบวนการตามธรรมชาติและส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของคนในพื้นที่
