Abstract

This article aims to discuss the biography of a muslim scholar known as Prof. Dr. Hikmat Basyir Yasin and his contribution to the development of Quranic exegesis especially in al-Tafsir bi al-Ma’thur and al-Tafsir al-Sahih. At the same time, the article analyses the methodology of Prof. Dr. Hikmat Basyir Yasin in his important book entitled “al-Tafsir al-Sahih”.
