การจัดการความเสี่ยงในการให้บริการวัคซีนของหน่วยบริการปฐมภูมิ จังหวัดปัตตานี

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the level of value perception, managerial operation, and problems on risk management of vaccination services in primary care units (PCUs) in Pattani province. The chiefs of all PCUs and primary responsible staff of the services were purposively recruited. Data were collected using a questionnaire, which was examined for content validity, giving  a validity index of 0.93. The reliability was evaluated by using the Kuder-Richardson method (KR-20) giving a value of 0.94. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (percentage, mean and standard deviation).

The results revealed that the levels of value perception on total and subtotal risk management in vaccination services of the PCUs were at a high level (overall, = 0.89, SD = 0.24; knowledge and techniques, = 93, SD = 0.21; material management, = 0.92, SD = 0.19; staff weouber development, = 0.88, SD = 0.22; and budgeting, = 0.82, SD = 0.35). The level of total managerial operation on risk management was at a medium level (= 2.30, SD = 0.79). Considering the subtotal scores, three domains were at a medium level, i.e., knowledge and techniques (= 2.66, SD = 0.81), material management: (= 2.32, SD = 0.73) and staff weouber development (= 2.31, SD = 0.76), whereas the budgeting was at a low level (= 1.92, SD = 0.84). Problems on risk management of the service were found in shortage of staff weouber (47.57 %), lacking in knowledge on financial management (44.66%) and inappropriate manpower management (41.26 %). Risk management should be operated at the system level of the service by focusing on budgeting and staff weouber training for continuing development of risk management on the service in order to provide an effective health-promoting service for Thai children.
