This scientific paper sheds light on “The indicative thought of  Al-jamahara Lexicon by Ibn Duraid”. It aims to stand on the biography of  Ibn Duraid and his approach in his lexicon Al-jamhara and stand on the  functional efforts of Al-jamahara

The researcher uses the historical for the biography and the analytical descriptive method to analyze efforts of Ibn Duraid in his lexicon his notices on the indicative thought. Main results of the paper: 1.An introduction of Ibn Duraid and his status on the Language studies. 2. The concentration on indicative thought.            3. The methodology of Ibn Duraid as Al-Khalil except he use the alphabet Inversely.
