Abstract
The purposes of this study were to: 1) examine the development of social skills of Prathom 5 (grade 5) students before, during, after learning by the scientific process skills drill activities packages in the form of the Group Investigation model of learning and 2) make the comparison between the social skills of Prathom 5 (grade 5) students before and after learning by the scientific process skills drill activities packages in the form of the Group Investigation model of learning. A sample was a group of 36 Prathom 5 (grade 5) students, from the classroom of 5/2 of one of the Bangkok Primary Education Service Area Office’s school, during semester 1 of academic year 2016. Social skills measurement test paper was developed for data collection and management plan of learning by the scientific process skills drill activities packages in the form of the Group Investigation model was adopted as the research tool. The data was analyzed by T-Test and descriptive statistics including Arithmetic Mean, and Standard Deviation. The results indicated as follows: 1) At a statistical significance level of .05, the development of social skills of students, who studied by the scientific process skills drill activities packages in the form of Group Investigation model of learning, stepped up. 2) At a statistical significance level of .05, compared with the average score of social skills measurement pre-test, the students achieved the higher average score of social skills, after studying Science, taught with the scientific process skills drill activities packages in the form of Group Investigation model of learning.
