There are 2 purposes of this study 1) to study the instruction management of classical saxophone practical skills course in music program, bachelor degree level in government universities in Bangkok and surrounding provinces that provide classical saxophone practical skills courses, and 2) to propose a guideline to manage the instruction of classical saxophone practical skill in year 1 to year 4 This is a qualitative research in which the content analysis and interview were applied to this study. Data was analyzed in the form of description. The key informants are teachers who instruct classical saxophone practical skills course in music program in bachelor degree level.
Results show that 1) the instruction management of classical saxophone practical skills course provided to the 1st – 4th year in university in the 4 areas is consistent and linked to each other sequentially, 2) these 4 areas are important compositions in instruction management. Following guidelines for instruction management. 1) Course’s objective is linked with scope and content of the course. 2) It is the knowledge that the learners have to learn and understand. It emphasizes music practical skills that conforms to music theories. 3) Instruction media contributes to the learning process both in term of music practical skills and theories. 4) The measurement and evaluation are suitable with the leaners and comprehensive with all area of musical measurement and evaluation.
