The research aims were to: 1) analyze the level of student teachers’ social emotional competence and 2) compare the level of student teachers’ social emotional competence with different university and major of study. The sample were 718 student teachers with multi-stage random sampling Data collected using a survey questionnaire that analyzed using descriptive statistics and two-way ANOVA by SPSS Version 22
The research finding were as follows: 1) student teachers had a high level of social emotional competence. The mean was 3.94 from the 5 point scale, and the standard deviation was 0.47 and 2) the factor such as different university and major of study affected student teachers’ social emotional competence (F = 5.32 sig = .000)
