This research aimed to study the needs for vocational manpower development of tour guides in response to labour market demand. The samples were foreign tourists, guides and touring entrepreneurs in a total of 300 people. The tools used in the research were questionnaires, quantitative data analysis by finding out average, standard deviation and Modified Priority Needs Index. The research results indicated that the knowledge of tour guides was essential and needed to be developed the most as priority, followed by skills, attitudes, morality and personality, respectively. The knowledge needed to be developed the most was general knowledge about tourism industry as well as knowledge about Thainess. The skills needed to be developed the most were communication skills for guiding. The attitudes needed to be developed were possessing a stable state of mind and being able to face situations and solve problems prudently. The morality needed to be developed the most was honesty and being a model in conservation of tourism resources. The personality needed to be developed the most was possessing a good personality. To identify the needs for vocational manpower development of tour guides following types of the samples could be found that the guides and touring entrepreneurs had mutually agreed that the feature of knowledge was needed to be developed the most. And most foreign tourists agreed that the skills were needed to be developed the most.
