Abstract
This study was descriptive research. The purposes of this research were 1) to study the conceptual framework of STUDENT CHARACTERISTICS 4.0 2) to study the present state and the desirable state in academic administration of English Program according to the concept of student characteristics 4.0 at Yothinburana school. The population was English Program of Yothinburana school. Respondents were director, vice director of academic, head of English Program and 44 teacher of English Program. Research Instrument is questionnaire.
The initial findings were as follows. 1) The conceptual framework of student characteristics 4.0 consisted of 1) Thinking Skills comprising Critical thinking Skills , Complex Problem Solving Skills, Creativity Skills and Innovative Skills; 2) ICT and Communication Skills, including Computing Literacy, Media and IT literacy Skills and English & Other Language Communication Skills; 3) Social Skills comprising Public Mind, Teamwork and Cross-cultural understanding. 2) The present state and the desirable state in academic administration of English Program according to the concept of student characteristics 4.0 at Yothinburana school, were overall at the high and highest levels respectively. (the present state’s Mean = 3.81 and the desirable state’s Mean = 4.76) The first priority needs index was Media Development of Media Literacy (PNI modified = 0.34) and Media Development of Complex Problem Solving Thinking Skills (PNI modified = 0.34) as well as Monitoring and Evaluation of Media literacy.(PNI modified = 0.33)
