Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the parents’ roles in using technology and interactive media with preschoolers under the Primary Educational Service Area in Klong-toei district in two aspects including co-use mediation and monitor mediation. The research sample consisted of 114 parents of preschoolers. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed and presented in terms of frequencies, means, percentages, standard deviations and content analyses.
The research findings found that parents’ roles in using technology and interactive media with
preschoolers in both aspects performed at a high level ( = 3.91). Regarding each aspect, it was found that co-use mediation was at the highest score ( = 4.06) and monitor mediation was also high
( = 3.76). In co-use mediation, educating was rated at the highest level ( = 4.20) and co-play
( = 3.91) was also high. In monitor mediation, supervision was rated at the highest level ( = 3.93) and provision ( = 3.59) was also high. For problems regarding parents’ use of technology and interactive media with preschoolers, monitor mediation with at the highest level (38 people).
