Abstract
This descriptive research had four objectives: 1) to study the level of parental involvement with the elementary school; 2) to study the level of desirable behaviors of students; 3) to analyze the relationship between parental involvement and desirable behaviors of elementary school; 4) to determine the effect of parental involvement on behaviors of the student. The sample of study was 65 teachers by using convenience sampling. The research instrument was Likert-scale questionnaires. Data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, S.D., correlation, and multiple regression analysis.
The main findings were as follow: 1) parental involvement was at high level in all area including (from high to low) learning, the role of parenting, community involvement, communication, volunteering, and decision making; 2) students desirable behaviors was at high level in all areas including desirable behaviors, learning process, and ethical behavior; 3) parental involvement and desirable behaviors of students was positively associated at significance level of .05; 4) according to multiple regression analysis, parenting and collaborating with the community could explain approximately 26.40 percent of the variance of desirable behaviors of students.
