Development of People’s Life Quality According to Management of Pathum Sub-district Municipality, Phrao District, Chiangmai province

Abstract

The objectives of the research were 1) to study development of people’slife quality according tomanagement of PathumSub-district Municipality, Phrao District ChiangmaiProvince,2) to compare development of people’slife quality accordingto management of PathumSub-district municipality, Phrao District ChiangmaiProvince, classified by personal factors, and 3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions development of people’slife quality accordingto management of PathumSub-district Municipality, Phrao District ChiangmaiProvince.

The research methodology was the mixed method research between the quantitative and qualitative methods. The ways to collect the data were used as in depth interview and survey research. The sampling group of this research was 372 persons from PathumSub-district that selected from Taro Yamane’s formula and analyzed by applicationprogram for social science.The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and test hypothesis by t–test, F–test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, andtest the differences of the average pairing with the Least Significant Difference: LSD. And the qualitative method used in-depth interview from 7 key informants and analyzed data with context.

The Research findings were as follows:

1. 1. The development of people’s life quality accordingto management of PathumSub-district Municipality, Phrao District Chiangmai Province, found that overall were in the medium level(= 2.76), when considered each aspect found that were in mediumlevel in habitation, Interested in Education, income and Thai social value creating aspect and in minimum level in healthy aspect.

2.the development of people’slife quality accordingto management of PathumSub-district Municipality, Phrao District Chiangmai Province found that different at significant 0.05, when separated as a age, education level, occupation, salary and working position, And not much different when separated into gender and marriage status.

The problems, obstacles and suggestions the developmentof people’slife quality accordingto management of PathumSub-district Municipality, Phrao District Chiangmai Provincewere as follows:Healthy aspect, to support about the community to cooperate in development of health by having the activities. Such as sports day, find the suitable place for exercise, to publicize the important of health to people and to set the public utility in the community to be hygienic condition. Habitation aspect, every house and the people in the community should take care the rest room, bathroom, kitchen to be clean. Education aspect, to support the library in the community for learning and studying.Income aspect, to set up the scholarship to give to the people who lack of chance, that are defective, elder, infection and the victims.And Thai social value training, to carry on the tradition and culture including Thai wisdom from the elder such as handicraft, and Thai wisdom such as herb, food, language, amusement, environment and learning.
