Abstract

          The purposes of this research were to survey the satisfaction of students and graduate users towards the bachelor of science program, psychology majoring in Counseling Psychology, in the curriculum improvements of 2018, and to search for guidelines for the development of science curricula, psychology major in Counseling Psychology for the revision of curriculum in 2023. The samples for quantitative method are current students and alumni, psychology major in Counseling Psychology at a total of 109 people and another 8 graduate users. The tools used consisted of satisfaction questionnaire towards the bachelor of science program, Department of Counseling Psychology, together with an in-depth interview. The quantitative data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. For qualitative data, an inductive analysis was performed.


           It was found that 1) the overall satisfaction of the students with the program was at a high level. Appropriate course content can be applied in daily life. Courses in the curriculum can encourage students to have a sufficient understanding of theories and principles of psychology. The objectives of the course are consistent with the course. The content of the course is appropriate and can be used in a career. And the courses in the curriculum are up-to-date for professional use. They were satisfied at a high level for all items. The overall graduate user satisfaction was at a high level. The interpersonal relationship and responsibility and moral issue were at the highest level. While strengthened citizen, innovation creation, numerical analysis skill, communication and use of information technology, knowledge, and intellectual skill were at a high level.


           2) The guidelines for the development of science curricula in the field of counseling psychology, from the opinions of students, it was found that they wanted to increase the number of courses on counseling practices, family psychology including a modern elective majoring process suitable for the current social conditions as well as to organize activities for students to experience on the outside world. Graduate users commented that they wanted to increase counseling practice and personality development to be suitable for being a consultant including to focus on the use of English in practice as well as online consultation.
