The The Influence of Risk Management on Operational of Hotel Accredited with Accommodation Standards for Tourism at Phuket Province

Abstract

This research aims to study 1) Risk management levels of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket province. 2) Operational levels of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket province, and 3) the influence of risk management on operational of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket province. The data collected by questionnaires, testing with 87 respondents who were the executives of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket province. The research sampling was purposive sampling. The index of item-objective congruence (IOC) was 0.787 and reliability value of 0.859. The statistical analyzed data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient analysis and enter multiple regression analysis.

Results of the research showed that risk management levels of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket province was at a high level ( = 3.871, S.D.= 0.248) and the operational levels of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket province was at a high level ( = 3.716, S.D.= 0.282). Risk management all of 8 aspects; internal environment, objective setting, event identifications, risk assessment, risk response, control activities, information and communication and monitoring did positively relationship with the operational of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket with statistically significant at 0.01 level. And found that risk management on event identifications, risk assessment and monitoring did influence significantly the operational of hotel accredited with accommodation standards for tourism at Phuket at 0.05 level of statistical.
