The Increasing Efficiency Guideline of Gem and Jewelry Production Management of Thai Industrial Sector

Abstract

This research aims to study 1) the causal factors affect the increasing efficiency of gem and jewelry production management of Thai industrial sector, and 2) the increasing efficiency guidelines of gem and jewelry production management of Thai industrial sector. This research was mixed methods research. The sample of quantitative research was 285 gem and jewelry entrepreneurs and the sample of quality research was 7 persons; entrepreneurs, government executives and academician. The index of item-objective congruence (IOC) was 0.812 and 0.834 reliability values.The results of the quantitative research reveals that the causal factor models were consistent with empirical data with the weight of relationship on knowledge and skills of employees in a highly level, secondly was design and development products, machine and technology of products and planning and quality control continuously, respectively. The all 4 elements were positive and direct influence to the increasing efficiency of gem and jewelry productions management at a statistically significant value of 0.05 level. The results of quality research found that the four elements were very important of modern production management by the combines production between skilled labor with modern technology was able to improve development of skilled labor for competitive internationally. In additional, must be important to support knowledge and skills to employees continuously with modern technology for increasing efficiency to design and develop of gem and jewelry to created workpiece and added value of production.
