The Role of the Board of Directors and Social Responsibility on the Performance of Companies Listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand

Abstract

This research article aims to study the role of the Board of Directors and social responsibility towards the performance of listed companies on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. It is a quantitative research model by studying from secondary data which collects data from financial statements, annual reports, annual information statements (56-1), information about the Thai Institute of Directors Association, Thai Investors Association, Thaipat Institute and SETSMART since. The results of the results showed that the role of the Board of Directors and social responsibility towards the performance of listed companies on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, including the Corporate Governance Ranking (CGR), entry into the Anti-Corruption Coalition Against Corruption (CAC), the list of Sustainable Stocks (THSI) has a statistically significant effect on the same direction with the return on equity (ROE) and the number of meetings (TIME), the size of the business (SIZE), the debt-to-asset ratio (DA) found that it resulted in the statistically significant opposite direction to the return on equity rate (ROE).
